Vocal sound healing is a practice that uses vocal toning to explore feelings and emotions within the body. It has less to do with singing, although it can be of benefit for developing the voice, and is a process of somatic release. It is a tool that builds confidence and deep connection to self, allowing the body to feel heard.

Parts Practice is a process of exploring opposing beliefs, thoughts and behaviours that occur naturally as we progress through life. Our personal identities develop within the context of external family and cultural environments. At times this can lead to inner or outer conflict, as we seek independence or growth. By exploring the Self, we can choose which parts to stay in alignment with, and which parts to gracefully let go of.

Compassion Practice is a method of being in dialogue with the Self in a way that creates validation and self-regard. Through gentle discussion, a conversation is developed to seek what was needed at a point of conflict or fracture. Words are then used to bring reconciliation to the needs of the Self, lost in a previous moment in time.

When challenging events occur in our lives, they can leave us feeling we have no personal power. Unexpected changes, times of loss and shifts in the trajectories of our lives, can leave us feeling overwhelmed and frozen.

Growth and change are naturally occurring parts of our lives, but they can be painful and leave us feeling we have no roadmap. Some growth is for our benefit, like taking a leap into a new chapter in our lives. While some changes leave us feeling in pain - isolated, confused and alone.

The practice of Body-Focused Compassion Therapy has been developed and explored over many years to bring support to the parts of the mind in crisis, and expression to the parts of the body holding the truth and inner wisdom of what an individual is experiencing on a deeply felt level.

This allows an individual to find relief from the discomfort of their experience, honouring it with reverence and sincerity. Bringing ease and safety to the nervous system allows a return to presence, giving self-autonomy to the individual, to transform pain and difficult emotions.

Overall, Body-Focused Compassion Therapy has been created to support self-regulation and to bring balance and connection back to the body. It helps to answer questions when we lose our way and can be used to remove blocks, reduce tension in the body, and create new directions when we are triggered by life's ups and downs.

How does the process work?

New participants complete a basic questionnaire and join the practitioner for an Initial 40 minute Session.

This provides the opportunity to meet and discuss their current situation and explore the different somatic tools available.

In Return Sessions, the participant leads a deeper exploration, surfacing and uncovering blocks, patterns & beliefs which have led to inner or outer conflict.

The practitioner supports this process of self-inventory and self-reflection in a structured way, offering a safe space for gentle observations.

New perspectives can be explored, along with validation and release for the feelings and emotions experienced.

Participants consider wider goals and work to embed new thought patterns and behaviours that lead to a greater level of wellbeing and personal empowerment, long-term.

Overall, the engagement is designed to go at a pace suitable to the needs of the individual, gradually building safety, resilience and renewed connection.
